KEITH HUFFMAN, DVM

Dr. Huffman has been our facility vet since we opened our doors in 2010.

He specializes in equine medicine, including breeding, wound care, skin issues,

lameness and colic.  His practice, Retama Equine Hospital, is located in Selma, TX.

He has come to our rescue at any time of the day or night!

Hild Brothers, Inc. is a family owned feed store located in Marion, TX. Glenn

and John provide our Nutrena feed, alfalfa pellets and rice bran pellets.

Hilmer Cowey, from La Vernia, TX, supplies quality, fresh & fertilized hay to

Rock-N-Oaks. We are always confident of the cleanliness and 

nutritional value of the hay we feed.

JEFF BATEY

​  Jeff visits Rock-N-Oaks weekly to shoe the facility horses.  He has decades of

experience shoeing horses of varying disciplines including cutting, reining, western pleasure, roping, racing and dressage.  Jeff is also adept at correcting hoof problems

due to injury, disease or conformation.

SUSAN POOLEY

Susan, owner of Pooley Quarter Horses, bases her business at Rock-N-Oaks Stables.

​ She has extensive experience in training, showing, fitting, marketing and

breeding horses of differing ages and breeds.  She and her late husband,

Wayne Pooley, campaigned   World Champions in Cutting, and Halter.  

She also loves to share her knowledge of horses with children and adults

through lessons that include handling, grooming, tacking and riding.

Jose is Rock-N-Oaks' barn hand extraordinaire. Jose is conscientious in the

maintenance of the facility, feeding, cleaning and handles horses with

care and compassion.

KELLI KENSING

Kelli is the owner/manager of Rock-N-Oaks Stables, LLC. 

Her passion has always been science and horses.  After obtaining a BS in Biology, she became a research scientist and later a secondary teacher.  Now, she applies her passions to horse management, with the goal of attaining and maintaining the peak physical

and emotional health of the horses at her facility.   Kelli's research of standards and changes within the equine industry pertaining to horse nutritional requirements, disease causes, symptoms and prevention, pest effects and management, optimal environments for horse mental and physical health and other areas, provides current insights that are applied to each horse on an individual basis.  Kelli enjoys changing a horse that is

poor, stressed or unhealthy into one that is fit, healthy and content.
